The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise SRD additional resources to permit the servicing of all consumers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
